Apparently dogs (and other animals) can get sick just from sniffing anti-freeze on the ground or by stepping in it and absorbing it through their feet (or by licking their paws later).

Just second hand info for now, but reportedly a couple dogs have died from eating something left on the ground in the Leslieville area.

A 23 year old male reports that on January 25, 2012 at approximately 2206 hours, he was in the area of Condor Avenue and Baird Avenue when he was approached by a male and female suspect.  The male suspect produced a switchblade and made a demand for cash.

The victim did not comply. The suspects fled the scene empty-handed in an unknown direction. No injuries were sustained by the victim.

Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the following described persons in connection with this offence.  Description of Suspect #1:  Male, white, 16 to 20 years, 5’9” to 6’1”, 150 to 180 pounds, short blond brown hair, thin build.  Suspect #2:  Female, 16 to 18 years. medium build.
